| We Remember Denali 3/26 | ||
| On Thursday March 26, 2009 our sweet Alaskan Malamute family member had to be euthanized. After battling hypothyroid for years he eventually developed Cushing's and Diabetes. The Diabetes was uncontrollable and he then developed severe cataracts and blindness. The diabetes weakened him to the point of exhaustion. While I was on duty Laura and the Nelsons took Denali to the vet. He is irreplaceable and is and will be missed for sure. | ||
| Showshoeing For My Birthday 12/27 | ||
| My Mom and Dad came out to Castle Rock for Christmas. We had a great time and were able to reconnect with some long lost family members. On my birthday we spent the day up in the mountains doing some snowshoeing. It was great conditions and we were even able to hit Beau Jo's pizza on our way home. | ||
| A Las Vegas Thanksgiving 11/28 | ||
| We ended up meeting with the Yano family in Las Vegas for Thanksgiving this year. Here are afew photos from this weekend. Grandpa Yano hit a Royal Flush on a video poker machine. | ||

| One of the best times of year here in CO to go hiking is while the leaves are changing for the fall season. So we decided to skip church and go up to the mountains and praise God through admiring His creation. | ||

| We left town and meet Mom and Dad Yano up in Vail for the weekend. Laura and I got some R&R, hiking, shopping, and family time in at a great resort with beautiful scenery. Here are some of the photos from the holiday weekend. | ||
| Tornado Touches down in Douglas County 8/24 | ||
| We were at the Nelson's house for some dinner when a tornado warning was issued in Douglas County. We looked outside and realized it was right outside their place. These photos were taken by Travis from his apartment complex. Not much damage was done but it was a frightening moment. | ||
| Mom & Dad visit us for their Anniversary 8/16 | ||
| This was a nice unexpected visit from mom and dad. They came in to stay with us on the same day that i found out I got the job with CRFD. It was a nice little time to celebrate together that turned out to be perfect timing despite some rare cool August weather. | ||

| I GOT A JOB !!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHH!!! After a long hard fight for the last eight years I have finally been offered a position with the CRFD! The joy that this has brought our family cannot even be described. I start on December 1st after finishing Paramedic school. | ||
